Uneasy about giving credit card information over the phone or to us in general
Our website and billing system are PCI (Personal Customer Information) complaint and is checked every year for any vulnerability’s and have to pass a test that is put forth by the goverment. Your credit card is stored on our secure server and if there ever was issue with anyone’s credit card now a days it is a very simple to make a quick phone call to your bank or credit card company and get it corrected. We have spent a lot of money in programming our system to keep your information safe and secure.
How to update the credit card on file?
You can update the credit card 1 of 3 ways:
#1. We can send you a link via text message that will take you right to our secure website page where you can update your card directly.
#2. You can goto TexasLawn.tech and scroll to the very bottom. One of the last links at the bottom says “Submit Client Card Information”. Click on that and you will submit the card info there.
#3. You can tell us over the phone and we will fill out the same from mentioned earlier for you
Why do we charge tax?
Under Texas Tax Code Section 151.0101 all labor services are to be taxed. The detailed line item in that Tax Code Section says:
Real Property Services are taxable and are included of Landscaping and Lawn Maintenance (including Tree Surgery)
With us being a local small family owned business we do not have the ability to absorb that cost on every transaction.
We don’t accept cash or check for pay as you go services. If you wish to pay for all your services for the year you can pay in the beginning of the year and we will credit that to your account. Your services would start after you have a credit on account with us.
How can we avoid the Credit Card Processing Fee?
The credit card processing fee will be there no matter what if we process a credit card. But you can avoid the fee each time by paying in bulk. We can do $200 bulk payments and you can have a credit on file with us. When that $200 falls below what your next service fee would be we would auto charge that $200 again to put credit back in your account with us and that process would repeat.
Questions About Why There Is Credit Card Processing Fees
Texas Lawn Tech is a small local family owned business. The prices quoted to you for the services provided is what is required for Texas Lawn Tech to do business.
Our credit card processing system automatically adds $1.50 to each transaction that is sent over that is under $500. With us being a local small family owned business we do not have the ability to absorb that cost on every transaction.
Can't update my card when I'm looking at the invoice?
This is correct. Our invoicing system is separate from our billing system. All invoices are reviewed by our office staff and we then tell our billing system to charge the dollar amount from the invoice to the card on file. You will then receive a payment receipt for the paid invoice to your email address on file with us
Can you cut my grass shorter then 2 1/2 inches
No sorry. It is unhealthy for grass to be cut shorter than 2 1/2 inches.
At 2 1/2 inches grass has reached maturity. The next 1/2 inch or so it’s going to grow in between mowings it’s going to create small seed buds. Those seed buds are what help thicken up your yard and give you a healthy thick look to your grass.
Do you use a metal trimmer or a string trimmer
We only use a string trimmer as the metal ones can damage irrigation heads. It can crack concrete and cause other damage to other things. We use string trimmers to avoid those things from breaking.
Can you notify before you come to cut the grass or put us at a certian time?
No sorry we can not. We route our guys in the most efficient way for them to get the most yards done in a day they can. When doing those jobs each yard has different needs and different things to be done. We can’t predict when they will be there. We schedule them in the most efficient way to reduce drive time and gas mileage.
Can you call us before our meeting time?
No sorry we can not. When our tech is out meeting with people there is no way to know how long that meeting is going to take. All customers have different needs and talk different amounts of time. When the meeting is over it’s usually just a 5 min drive till he is at the next appointment. We can only set a block of time for him to come out. 9am to 12noon is the morning block and 1pm to 4pm is the after noon block.
Do you guys work on Saturday and Sunday?
No sorry we do not. Our office staff and landscaping crews work very hard during the week and they/we need our downtime over the weekend to spend with family.
My yard has yellow spots after getting my weed/feed treatment
Between Rounds 4 and 7 we will actively kill spots of Crab & Dalli Grass using MSMA. Certain grass such as St Augustine & Zoysia can be killed by this chemical and may not grow back. The way this is done is to spot treat those areas. This area will have a yellow look to it for a short period of time. Of the grass that is/was in that area it will naturally grow back. But please note that where that exact spot of crab/dalli grass was that it will be bare.
